Types of Cloud Computing Services

Types of Cloud Computing Services are divided into three categories: Software as a Sevice (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), levels ranging from SaaS when we are completely free to manage resources, PaaS when we still have to make an application, and IaaS in which we also still have to manage operating.

Software as a Service (SaaS)

Provide access software to customers without having to purchase, the software is installed on the server and the customer just stayed with them directly. The advantage of SaaS is "Pay as You Use" so the customer only pays the appropriate amount of application usage.

Examples of some of SaaS:

Google docs: Web-based office suite and data storage service provided by Google. Allows the user to create and edit a document online that can be used simultaneously by several users.

Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Application development and deployment / deployment platforms used to provide services for developers who use the platform to build, deploy management perform a Saas. PaaS service providers themselves provide such services platform, from managing their servers are virtualized so that is already a cluster to provide the operating system on it.

Examples of PaaS:

Amazon Web Services: is a server where the advantages of cloud services is easy in developing hardware performance (scalability), hardware specs are quite high, less because we only need to pay for what we use only (data transfer, cpu usage, etc.)

Microsoft Amazon: Microsoft Operating System for Cloud Computing.

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Allows customers to use applications that require a server configuration that is unique and can not be met PaaS service providers. Here service providers only provide computer resources are like the processor, memory, and storage that has been virtualized. However, providers do not install the operating system and applications on it.

Selection of the OS, applications, and configurations are fully in our control. So IaaS services can be seen as the process of migrating our servers from on-premise data center belonging to this IaaS provider. The local cloud computing vendors on average provide IaaS models is in the form of Virtual Private Server. Examples These service providers include Google, IBM, and Amazon EC2.
